Ugh. I suck.

Well, I TOTALLY intended to do a better job of posting on a regular basis.  As you can probably see, I've been an epic failure at following through.  It always seems that just when things slow down a bit in life and I think I'm going to have spare time to post here, something changes.

It's really just been kind of a crazy year.  I finished my BSHS in April, and did my graduation ceremony in June which was kind of cool because I didn't participate in the ceremony when I finished my associates.  It was a pretty cool experience, but kind of surreal, too.

In June, I also started a new job taking calls for a big gaming company handling their customer support.  The best part about it is that I can work virtually, so I'm not required to actually be in a physical office.  This is great for me...I'm never too far from the kids but I'm still having the opportunity to experience the satisfaction that comes from the job and converse with real grown-up people.  Most everyone I've worked with so far has been great, too.

Summer is pretty much over, now.  You wouldn't know it really by the weather we've had this weekend though!  Summer came late, around here.  We've made the most of the nice weather on days I haven't worked, though.  We've been to the Mukilteo Beach a couple times, we've been to Silver Lake as well.  We also spent a good deal of time at the Imagine Children's Museum in Everett and Forest park, too.  We hit the fair in Monroe last week, which is Sebastian's favorite part of summer.

Sebastian is starting 7th grade this year.  I feel really old!  He's already taller than I am by quite a bit, and still growing.  He's super excited because he has the same math teacher he had last year, and the extra math class he took last year paid off so his schedule allows him to take electives which will be really fun for him, I think.

Despite chaos, I have been knitting, a bit.  Nothing too involved right now...I just need things I can knit, put down easily for a bit of time, and then pick back up without wondering where I was or what I was doing.  After school starts and the new routine begins, I hope to jump into something a little more challenging.  When I was at the fair last week, I met a gal who was demonstrating a tatting project and now I'm really wanting to try it out, it looks fun and the finished product is beautiful!  Because you know, I just need ONE more crafting hobby to pick

With any luck, I'll be posting pictures of current projects soon!

Hope everyone's classes/ new school year gets off to a great start!!
