It's freaking cold out.

I have nfc where my hat, gloves or my scarf is. I got home from the bus stop this morning, and my fingers actually hurt as they defrosted. The irony is that, now that I'm knitting, I will probably have to hit Wallyworld this weekend to grab some gloves and a hat.

I was going to go out today and hit the post office, I desperately need to do that but I have either not had the time to do it, or I've driven past it realizing that I don't have the packages with me that I need to mail. After being out this morning, I decided the post office can wait til the weekend.

I hate winter. I saw on the news last night that we might get a bit of snow tomorrow for Thanksgiving. Just think, only like, 3 more months of this and it's only going to get worse.

Today I'm going to make some banana bread and some cranberry bread. I just have to dig up the motivation to go downstairs and do it. I always have to wait until the day before Thanksgiving to bake the bread, because if I do it any earlier, there isn't any left for Turkey day.

Started a new pair of socks. My fingers and ears might fall off from frostbite, but my toes will be warm!! duh.

This pair is a bit trickier, there's a really bizarre stitch that I've never done before, where I purl 2, leave them on the needle, and then go back and purl one of those two stitches again before taking them off the needle, and it's been kind of hard to get used to doing. The end result is supposed to be a knotty kind of texture. I've frogged it twice already just trying to get this stitch right. My current attempt seems to be going well-I just have to take those rows slow and count to make sure everything is where it's supposed to be. Sometimes I'm suprised that I don't really get frustrated at having to re-do things but then again, I'm pretty new to all of this, so mistakes are going to happen.

Anyway, I'm off to burn bake some bread. If I don't post tomorrow, have a good safe Thanksgiving.
