Attack of the butterfly

Here is a picture of a butterfly that spent a lot of Sunday afternoon divebombing us during dinner.

It had been quite a while since I had seen a butterfly, and the colors on this one were really spectacular. It kept coming back, and I kept taking pictures.

Then I got home and I was like, hrm. I wonder what kind of butterfly this is? And thanks to the wonders of the internet, I have decided that this must be called a Red Admiral.

Now if there were no internet, I would have had to go to the library to find this out. And if that were the case, I probably would have forgotten by the next time I hit the library, or worse, would have spent hours digging around through books over one stupid butterfly. I love you, internet!!
